When I acquired a 2KD of the same vintage, I was advised by Henry Radio =
to
use a Variac and bring the voltage up slowly to protect the filter caps.
Depends on how long since yours has been in operation.  Mine was in a =
box
for at least 8 years.

I don't have much information on the 10-meter (export) mod, but =
according to
the parts list, you need at least an L2 10-meter coil, and an L12 Input =
Coil
for 10-meters.  I would think these would be available from Radio Dan
