I have an original Henry 2k from 1963 ser # 156. About 12 years ago the
band switch broke. This model uses a complicated method of switching bands.
The switch in the center actually uses dial cord to switch two other
switches for tune and plate on each band. The switch shaft was originally
braised on and that is what broke. I used rear view mirror super glue to
put it back together. I have forgotten how to get good access to the back
of the front panel. I know the console and RF chassis can be separated from
the power supply with screws in the bottom and removing the blower power
supply and unsoldering the door lock switch behind the bottom plate door.
I seem to remember that the front panel bends forward. I need to get to the
braised portion of the switch and the dial cord system to the other
switches. I either will re-glue or perhaps find a junker part.
Can you help?
