[Henry] Henry 2K relay problem

I have a very old Henry 2K Serial # 156. I have been using this on the 17
and 12 meter bands. Today the Henry will not key from an
exciter/transceiver. The old 2K has the time delay relays and a pair of
relays for control and these all appear in good order. I have had to
burnish these in the past and have replaced the 115N120 6N02 time delay
relays in the past.

The problem seems to be the keying from the exciter. I replaced the keying
line from the ICOM (just a normal open/closed transmit circuit). The amp
kicked in Ok so I hooked up the old lead again and again nothing. The
replacement lead also did not key the amp. I checked both leads (RCA plugs
on each end) and when I put the ICOM in TX the circuit closed. I then found
a lead with the RCA plug at one end and solder leads at the other. I
plugged in the RCA to the Henry 2K relay jack and shorted the lead and still
nothing. I did
notice that when I plugged in the replacement that there was a spark and the
circuit worked and the Henry took drive correctly.

Before I tear into the 2K (its difficult to do as you have to take the amp
chassis out of the
console) does anyone have any ideas. I don't think there is another relay
only a circuit that ties into the two relays in the power supply chassis.
The ICOm keys my 8877 and amp supply amp but neither of these work on 17 or
12.
