I suggest an external switch driven by your transceiver. This limits
possible rig wear / damage on internal components QSK it isn't, but usually
affords reasonable transient switching time.

Additional Hint:  Before using any amplifier with modern rigs, confirm if
the ALC voltage is negative or positive.  Incorrect voltage can destroy
