[Heathkit] dx-60 problems

If the wafer of the switch is not badly burned, it is possible to carefully drill out the rivet holding the contact in place and then replacing it with a good contact removed from a donor switch. Use a little machine screw and nut as used in eyeglasses to secure the new contact.
If you put on a long face, you can probably get a machine screw and nut free from one of those mall 1-hour eyeglass operations. Also, there are kits, that sell for around $1.00 at "dollar stores" for repairing eyeglasses that usually have several machine screws and nuts therein.

I agree with Bob. A common problem with DX-60s after they get a few
miles on them is contact erosion on the function switch. Full B+ is
switched and will erode the contacts away!
