Hi Bill,

I'll check out the connectors. Indeed I'm using a straight key. I did have a
problem earlier where the wire that goes to the center of the antenna
connector was disconnected on the relay side. Since the rig keyed and the
power output and side tone does change at the rhythm of the key I figured
that the connection was OK, but who knows.
