After 20 years or more away from local clubs (shift work - long hours) I
went to club meeting for the first time a week or so ago. The bulk of
the meeting was taken up talking about the two meter FM repeater. I
would have written them off but there was mention by a couple of them
about their plans to take a DX-100 and one of the National receivers to
a county fair for a ham radio demo! They can't possibly be *ALL* bad
(evil grin). And - the reason I chose that particular club to visit (an
hour drive each way) is having met one of their members when he came to
my home to install an appliance. He saw my DX-100 and Apache and Johnson
Ranger and started drooling. I showed him the RAK and the command
receivers and the SW-3....
