Hi Glen,

I don't know why, but my SB-301 requires a bit of re-twaeking every 6 months or so---could be because the shack is in the basement here...?

I, too, built a converter to cover 160 for mine, allowing it to receive Topband in the 40-meter band---in fact, ELECTRIC RADIO published my article on it some years ago.

Works great!
