There's some ringing praise. :)
OS/2 was a robust and mature platform. Linux is logical, predictable, and
rock-solid. I can too easily bring XP to it's knees, and the inconsistancy of
the UI drives me nuts sometimes.
Reboots are for changing hardware....
My APRS digi/igate has an uptime of well over 10 years (aside from occasional
maintenance, like when I changed the hard disk because it was starting to sound
funny) running a Debian 2.2 distro on an old IBM PS/2. I literally never have
to touch it.
