[Heathkit] Heathkit SB-610, a new twist

Yea Jim, I see what you mean but kind of weird though, years ago it worked just fine with my HW100 and I
was using RG174 in the rig and RG58 as a connecting cable. Actually I believe the 610 was mostly intended
to be used with the SB/HW Heathkit equipment. In the manual for the 610 I do not recall any mention about
precautions concerning the results I am having.

Oh well, I will just use the 610 for xmit monitoring and forget about receive signals. I would not have
the jewels to make a critical comment to anyone based on the display of the 610.

| Not surprising. Nothing happens in a vacuum; when you add another circuit
| element (the 610 and cable) to the IF, you change the parameters of the
| circuit. You need to either leave the scope connected at all times, or buils a
| small solid-state buffer amp into the radio to isolate the IF from the added
| circuit element.
