Some questions regarding packing an SB-221 for shipping via United
Parcel Smashers...

1. Is it pretty much required to remove the power transformer and
ship it separately?

2. How difficult is it to do (1) if it is necessary?

3. Can the need to do (1) be mitigated by adding some additional
cushioning material on top of the transformer and inside the cabinet?

4. Is it pretty much required to remove the tubes and ship them separately?

5. Can the need to do (4) be mitigated by wrapping the tubes in
bubblewrap and leaving them in-place, and add some additional
cushioning material (bubblewrap) above the tubes and between them and
the top RF cage cover?

I'm buying this amp from somebody 1300 miles away and am getting a
pretty good deal on it, and my control over how it's packed and
shipped is limited (e.g. I may not have the option of insisting on
"anybody but UPS" i.e. Fedex), so I need to know what I should insist
on and whether there are mitigations that the seller might be able to
more easily live with.

Thanks...
