[Heathkit] Sb101 dial disaster

wel fellers thanks for the words of inspiration. I gave it another try, and 
at least got the dial moving, but its jerky now, worse than it was before, 
and out of calibration. I think I'm gonna leave well enough alone and learn 
to live with it. I have a freq counter that will tell me where I am, at 
least for the time being.

Just got an audio check on 3987.5 and N5VU said it sounds wonderful. I'll 
check into the razorback net at 6pm with it.  The s-meter does not function 
at all in receiver, and it barely wiggles with AGC while speaking in the 
mic, but I'm getting reports of full audio. Meter works fine reading plate 
voltage and plate current. Grid reading work too.  This too, I can live with 
for now. All tubes check fine.

I have cleaned all the switchs and controls with de-oxit.  I have NOT done 
an alignment on it yet. I may tackle that tomorrow.
