[Heathkit] HW2036 PLL tones

Hello all,

Playing around with 2 HW2036 rigs I've picked up and are now working.

Question about the PLL tone generator.

The level seems to be a bit high, the manual states it is set by circuit values to 700 Hz deviation. On air reports state it is very  noticeable. When the rig was sold in 1976, maybe nobody used this feature so it was ignored? 

Using the 102.7 Hz setting. I don't have a deviation meter so I can not verify any of the levels.

Some fun left in these radios I believe, but I would like them to sound OK on the air for what they are.......
