If you are planning to replace the OA2 with an OB2, be sure to include step#8 which also lowers the plate voltage of the 6AU6.
On a side note, Elgar Corporation made a line conditioner in the mid 70’s that reduces power-line harmonic distortion to 0.2% and reacts to line/load changes within 20-micro seconds. The one to look for is their model 6000B. You can find them for under $100. It will deliver 10-amp AC and will regulate the AC power for your boatanchors to +/- 0.025%. The output voltage is adjustable via a 10-turn pot (R228), so you can dial in 110 VAC which makes your boatanchors very happy. I can set my rig for 3880 KHz and it will stay their all night +/- 20Hz! Your DX100 will surprise you with its frequency stability.

The 0A2 VR tube in my DX-100B was replaced by a previous owner with a
(lower-voltage) 0B2 (150V vs 108V).
Do any of you know of an aftermarket modification that involved doing that?
I've gone back to the 0A2 and it seems a little more stable.
