[Heathkit] 6146A's Arrived (was DX-100B on Phone - bad audiodistortion / oscillation)

Since the Cgp is a very small amount and affects 10M the most it has always
been the band to neutralize most any TX or amp on. The effect and tendency
to oscillate decreases with decreasing frequencies.

Since the DX-100B in question appears to be unstable.....period.... Id
suggest a bad ground connection, an ineffective bypass cap or a combination.

Did this rig ever work properly on all bands? Was something done to it by a
CBer or some hammy hambone mods?

Does the owner have a scope at least, capable of operating to 30 MHz?
