[Heathkit] DX-40 Questions

okay so I tune up the DX40 and when I peak the drive on 40M I get almost 
4mils of grid drive, w hich if I remember, is too much for a single 6146! 
The manual copy I have does not actually say how much drive it should have 
but just to peak it.

any thoughts on this guys?

I have named my UPS crushed DX-40 "the ugly duck" but hey, its making RF! I 
glued all the pieces of the meter face back together and looks as ugly as my 
first girlfriend but it works.

I still need a 6DE7 tube, t his one is very weak on triode section number 2
