Put a nylon tie wrap around the power cord just inside of the chassis. This will prevent the cord from "pulling out".

I have a couple of SB-610 scopes with the original power cords and I think it's time to replace them. Anyone have a suggestion on what to replace it with and how? Obviously I'll use a 3-wire cord, but I'm not sure what the best option for bringing into the chassis and anchoring it might be. The simple solution would be just a grommet in the original plastic strain relief clamp hole and leave the power cord with no mechanical attachment other than the friction fit of the grommet, but I kind of think that might not be a good idea. Any help please?
