To those who challanged the R value, I tested it in and out of the oil
with my Fluke DMM (42.4 ohms) and with my benchtop HP DMM calibrated 3
mo. ago (42.51 ohms).
Now, here are the MFJ 259B analyzer test results:
80meters = R 42, X 4, SWR 1.2
2 meters = R 48, X 8, SWR 1.1
To those who poo-pood the R value, you are 100% correct. I will leave
it alone and forget I ever concerned myself over nothing. THANKS. I
put it back together and forgot about it.
