Do a Google for his "firm" and read the stories, there are many.

My e-Bay experiences in general lead me to the conclusion that "works" and "rare" are very subjective terms.
"Works" usually means "the dial lights up and it doesn't blow fire at you" but it doesn't do much else.
"Rare" usually means after market mods, paint, or hasn't been listed in the last 24 hours :)

I seem to recall an after market LED display kit that was made for numerous analog display radios in the late 70's but the name escapes me.
