Chris,
You 'might' have some luck if you have any Motorola or GE two way service
shops in the area, volunteer to relieve them of any -old stock- 3B28's.
They used them in the highpower base stations from years gone by.

Who might have spare 3B28s available? I am in need of six to replace the
866's in various amp PSU's.
Please reply off list.
Thanks,
Chris

John,
I have radios, BIG TXs that now use 3B28s in lieu of the original 866s.
The 3B28s are VERY plentiful, and over 8 years of use I've yet to lose
one. (Two BC-610s) Neither are they very expensive - UNLESS one
chooses to purchase from the audiophool crowd!

866 or 3B28 is replaced with a SS plug in rectifier? If anyone has taken
the time to measure it as well as the current being drawn, could you advise
what it was?
