[Heathkit] DX-100 mods

Bill,

This goes back only 52 years....

I modified my DX-100 with both a "spot" switch and grid block keying per an
article written back in that time frame. I don't know how many variants
there can be to implementing grid block keying but I was very happy I made
these changes... Always got great CW reports and the tune switch was very
convenient. I suppose wiring up a spot switch that requires an extra hole in
the panel would be a "gotcha" for some.
YMMV..

Chris

Hi,

I have a PDF file here describing a mod for the DX-100 to use grid-block
keying and I am considering using it on my DX-100. Do any of you have
experience with this? Any 'gotchas'?

73,

Bill KU8H
