Hi Paul,

Five things:

1. I have a similar situation except the amp is a Drake L4-B - If you get
any helpful comments off list, please share them, if you don't mind.

2. Did you post this question to the Kenwood group? QTH.com;  I joined and
thanks to them, I may be able to repair the damage that my 850 inflicted on
itself. Great group.

3. Did you look in your 850 or Ampkeyer manuals, IIRC, I think I saw some
hook up info to "foreign" amps in the Kenwood manual.

4. Did you Google this?

5. After all this, follow Brannigan's advice ;-)
