I'm kinda pumped about the SB-200. I've got two of these puppies in
needs-work condition.

I've followed Rich Measures analysis, Mule, and some other sites.

So far, I haven't made much progress on my SB-200's. I've been
gathering info and parts.

Hey.thanks-Chuck^W4MIL, I concur.

I've pretty much decided not to go with the Harbach powerboard. It
looks nice but the old Heath board is good enough.

I got new high capacity electrolytics, 270 ufd/450VDC. I was thinking
about replacing the bypass resistors with PAIRS of 200 kohm 2 watt'ers.
Redundancy is good where a safety device is concerned. I'm not sure
why anyone would replace the diodes, don't they last forever? New ones
are cheap and better but if the old ones work, why bother?

The meter voltage divider is a problem. I think a chain of fifteen 1
meg precision resistors in a plastic tube is the way to go.

A big flaw in the SB-200 is the keying voltage. I just ordered N0XAS's
Universal Keying Adapter, $15 plus shipping.

I'm guessing that the Measures parasitic suppressor is a must do. Ditto
the filament voltage adjustment.

Repaint the cabinet, polish the knobs. De-Ox-id the switches and
relay. Good to go.
