[Heathkit] HW-32 specs? Single Banders

I have an HW-32A that needs some work, but I don't yet have the manual. I
pulled it off the shelf and can tell you the dial range is 14.20-14.35 Mhz. The
major marks are at 50 KHz, medium ones at 10 Khz, and minor marks at 2 Khz.
One knob revolution moves the dial about 50 Khz, or the distance between the
major marks.

I think the Single Banders (HW-12, 22, 32) were all about the same design,
just different frequency ranges to cover the voice section of whichever band.
I also have an HW-22A that was modified to cover the entire 40 meter band,
and can key CW. It has a few extra knobs and a switch added on the front panel.
I'm not sure where the modification instructions came from, but I suspect
maybe QST magazine in the late '60's or early '70's (?). The fellow that did the
mod was a bright late teenager in my neighborhood who was tragically killed
in the early 70's while tuning up his homebrew linear amp. So, be careful out
 there !

Hi:
The HW 32 is a fun little rig. The receiver is on the broad side and output
power is around 60w pep max. You can run it with a HP 23 supply or roll
your own but you need to make up an 8 pin connector for the power cable.
Years ago I had one on cw by keying the PA cathode in the "Tune" mode and
detuning the vfo.
Have fun
