Manuel says:

Full ratings, 1500 watts, when driven by 100 watt exciter
CW for 1500 watts output, final grid current should be around 250 MA and
plate current should be less then 900 MA.
For SSB: tune up in CW; then adjust exciter gain control to permit voice
peaks to reach the same value the peak output meter read in CW when fully
loaded. The plate and grid currents should remain well below 50% of the
CW values during normal operation.

This is what Manuel says.
