Also interesting to note that it had electronic bias. The circuit board 
looks rather complicated, on a level of the Alpha 77 which had switching 
spikes going over the air; there was a mod that partially corrected it. The 
current Ameritron design works quite well tho.

 There is also a vacuum relay so it may have full QSK as in the Alpha 77 
series.

I just might give Arnie a call and ask for a schematic copy; my curiosity is 
aroused!
