[Heathkit] Weighted SB Tuning Knob

Here is a close up of my weighted SB main tuning knob.

This is a worthwhile modification.  If you clean and adjust the LMO 
drive, the weighted knob takes the SB to a new level of perfection.

It is work but that's the point, isn't it.

If the aluminum skirt were just a little higher quality and I could 
figure out how to fit a ball or roller bearing onto the shaft, it would 
be perfection.

Yes, I am re-engineering my Heaths but this is as a tribute to the Hams 
at Heath, not meant as an insult.

I'm making the enhancements mostly under the hood, keeping the look and 
improving the feel.

I'm hoping that someone will start doing re-screenings of SB front 
panels, perhaps on an exchange basis.

I know that this "ruins" the collector value as defined by antique'ers.
