[Heathkit] Does Heathkit Still Exist?

And between New Buffalo (which is just north of the
Indiana state line) and St. Joseph is Warren Dunes
State Park (right on Lake Michigan) which has a huge
sand dune known as "Tower Hill".  Have climbed it
numerous times growing up and even all 3 of my
daughters (who were born in Dallas, Texas) and my wife
have climbed it a few times as well when we were
visiting my parents in LaPorte, Indiana.

I believe that one of the amateur radio clubs in the
area operates from Warren Dunes State Park for Field
Day.  At least they used to years back.  It is a great
location for 6 and 2 meter operation as well as for
HF.

St. Joseph, Benton Harbor, and Niles along with
several other small towns are all located in Berrien
county Michigan.  Yes, Heathkit Company is located in
Benton harbor, near the St. Joseph river in the old
K-Mart building and still functions.  The old Heathkit
facility at 211 Hilltop Road now has many tenants
including Lakeland Medical, Penske and Whirlpool. 
Also, Whirlpool bought the Zenith Data Systems
engineering facility which was built across the street
from 211 Hilltop.
