I use an HW-16/VF-1 combo for CW traffic net work. The other day, the
net manager told me it sounded like a modern rice box.
I didn't know whether or not to take that as a compliment, but I
understood what he meant: keying is excellent, and stability is like a
rock. Plus, it is full QSK.
I'm building an amp to follow it and my HW-101. The amp will be full
QSK also. 600 watts output. Built around an Army 1945 AM-8C/TRA-1
with a pair of 4E27s in it.
