[Heathkit] DX-60 Repair Adventure, Which Sideband?

Scott:

Actually, I once saw a mod for converting the DX-60 to DSB. I think it
was in an old issue of CQ magazine. The final 6146 was removed and
replaced with two 6L6's some diodes, thus doing the balanced modulator
function right in the final. I would never have hacked up my DX-60A that
way. Actually, the "controlled carrier" screen modulation produces sort
of a reduced carrier effect, I think.

Where can I work AM with my DX-60? The 75 meter high power guys are
snobs and won't talk to strangers or guys with low power.
