Right... I didn't mean stand-by, I meant positions where R27 doesn't 
matter (includes Tune and stand-by).  No matter - if R26 is fine then 
let's look elsewhere.  If R27 and C36 are also fine then check downstream.

In AM and CW modes, the function switch connects R27/C36 to pin 3 on the 
final amp.  Is that line okay?  Is the function switch properly 
connecting its terminal 2 (coming from R27/C36) to its terminal 3 
(coming from final amp pin 3 and C17) when in AM and CW modes are selected?
