Somewhere over the years I read somewhere that there
was a concern about the integrity of the 104 circuit
board materials.

Was that nonsense or did they have a problem with part
of the series that started to show up 10 or 15 years ago?

What parallels have you noted between the TR7 and 104A?
I always loved the TR7.
