Every SB-200 that I have ever seen will easily put OUT
600 to 650 watts on 80 and 40 meters. Some even 700
watts. On 10 meters the output usually drops to the
500 watt to 550 watt range.

Of course this is when the linear is run from 240 VAC.
On 120 VAC the output may be a little less depending
on how far the AC is run from the breaker box.

The 572B tube is pretty robust and they last a long
time.

500 watts is a lot for that old amp. The tubes would
have to be very fresh. A more reasonable output might
be 300-400 watts key down. This is a one KW amp. 60%
tube efficiency. 2000volts X .5 amp - 1KW input X .60
= 600 watts output. If we used 2400volts the output
would be 720 watts and in 45 yrs I've never heard of a
SB-200 putting out that type of power. This is a 1KW
PEP amp.
