[Heathkit] HG-10 VFO

Guys,
Thanks for posting the information on the HG-10
series. I have a Hallicrafters HT-40 (and SX-140),
and the matching VFO for that is near impossible to
find at an non-outrageous price. Even though I'm a
Heathkit aficianado, I was not aware of the 6 meter
coverage of the HG-10.

My Novice rig in 1960 was a DX-20 & SP-400, and my
technician setup was an HT-40, the SP-400 and homebrew
6 meter converter. I never had a VFO. I got an
SB-100 when I upgraded in 1972 while in the Navy, and
I sold all of my new-fangled foreign gear and got back
into boatanchors two years ago with the acquisition of
an HW-101, which is my primary rig. I also have
several HW monobanders that I'm restoring.

Now, with the info that y'all have provided, I'll be
looking out for an HG-10 version to use with my medium
power CW and AM setup with the HT-40.

73,
Ted KX4OM
