[Heathkit] HW-101

To All:
    I recently acquired a HW-101 that is in very fine shape minus the power 
supply, and mic, which I am working on trying to get them. My dillema is 
that the boards are very dirty and seems to have a film on them. I asked the 
mother of the kid who owned it and she said it has been in storage for over 
16 years. After I get a power supply, should I try a "smoke test" or clean 
it up ? What should I use to clean them and do I have to pull the boards ?
