If you connected the 850 to the SB200 relay terminals you have probably 
fried the 850 switching transistor.
The 200 uses -125VDC to switch and newer rigs need an intermediate circuit 
to be compatible.

QST for 1/88 has a Hints & Kinks circuit which is easily duplicated and 
works well. It can be built using a pair of terminal strips or some perf 
board. Parts cost from Mouser is around $5.

 Some other circuits, using an IC, work but are very susceptible to any 
instability in the amp.
