I'm really surprised that more folks don't need or use monitor scopes today.
Actually according to many of the signals I hear on the bands, a monitor
scope and, more importantly, knowledge of what it indicates would clean up a
lot of signals, thus folks do need them. I guess the mind set that radio
manufacturers today make "perfect non-fallible" radios and the users always
use and adjust them correctly. Yea, right! So how does one know when the
amplifier is being driven correctly since most amps and radios do not
interface ALC control today? Splatter, splatter, splatter........oh, it
must be my receiver.
I have two, being and HO-10 for the AM station and a SB-610 for the SSB
station. Couldn't get along without them.
