Rick -
You probably already realize, but if not... keep in mind that the intensity
pot on the HO-10 is at high voltage and a replacement will need to be isolated
from the panel using the same sort of insulating shaft and bushing.
The HO-10 I bought recently on eBay had serious shippnig damage and the
intensity pot was shattered. I was unable to find a combination of 500k pot and
insulating shaft that would fit the bushing, plus would allow an on/off switch
to be added, so I ended up just using an appropriate 500k pot with insulating
shaft and bushing, and put a mini toggle on/off switch elsewhere on the panel.
I didn't like to do it that way, but as I mentioned this unit had already
been pretty well mangled, so it was not a collectors item. It has turned out to
be a very practical mod and the unit cleaned up nice enough to go into service
in my shack.
