[Heathkit] DX-60 PTT

My implementation is to insert a NO relay in series with the KEY jack. A
second set of NO contacts is wired in series with the AC line that goes to
the AUX connector on the rear for switching the antenna relay. The relay is
a DPST configuration with a 6VDC coil. I derive the 6V DC from a 1/2 wave
rectifier being a diode and a capacitor operating off of the heater circuit.
I change the mike connector to a 1/4" stereo phone jack with the ring being
audio and the tip being PTT. The + from the 6V DC supply goes to one coil
terminal of the relay and the other coil terminal goes to the new 1/4" phone
jack tip. Do put a counter EMF diode {1N4001} across the relay coil. The
relay is a small Radio Shack relay mounted under the chassis with a dab of
silicone. The rectifier diode is a 1N4001 and the filter cap is a 100 MFD
at 35V DC.

Operationally the function switch is placed in the mode you with to operate.
Key the PTT to ground to transmit.
