Years ago I wanted to connect my SB-610 to a Kenwood R599D receiver to
monitor receive signals. There wasn't enough output to drive the 610 so I
built a 3 or 4 transistor voltage amp using some cheap 2N2222 or 2N3907
transistors. It was a typical voltage amp circuit that you find in any
book on transistor fundamentals. ARRL Handbook still should have this
info. Mounted the parts on a 1 by 2 or 1 by 3 inch perf board and mounted
it in the receiver. Receiver power supply powered the board. An OP-AMP
circuit should also work.
