[Heathkit] HW-2 VHF Handietalkie

I have an HW-2 which seemingly works fine, but I never get white noise
when I fully unsquelch the radio.  I hear the teeniest of noise when the
HT is turned on.  It works fine otherwise, output, etc.

Does anyone have a schematic, or idea???
