When faced with a really dirty rig, I take all the covers off, set the 
chassis up on a stool so water can drain away quickly, and spray it with the garden 
hose.    Scrub the covers separately with the usual cleaners like 409.  Leave 
the chassis and covers out in the hot sun to dry - thoroughly - before 
applying power again.

There are special cleaners available at the pet stores that contain enzymes 
that break down urine - but I would only use them on the covers.
