You can't always feel the engraving.  Many had paper labels on the cover 
side.

Many have suggested this is a FT-243, but I suspect you are familiar 
with them already.,  The dimensions you gave are right for a FT-243 
except 3/16" is way too thin.  They are closer to 3/8".   Is it possible 
that this is what you meant?

By the way, does it help you if a person writes out fractions, as in 
three eighths inch, or does your program interpret 3/8" equally as well?
