[Heathkit] 28.635

Just a thought,

I heard an S5 carrier at 28634.6 on my 756 pro - dialed that fx into my S10 and also heard it. I turned off the main power breaker and it went away. Turned the juice back on and found the one breaker that killed the signal. The carrier was being caused by a Samsung VCR/DVD player. The SMPS and or readout is a great transmitter. I have had vcr's and other digital readout devices cause interference from hf to vhf.

My nearest neighbors are 1500 feet away so when I kill the main power it is quiet. If you have neighbors close by you can kill your power and still be getting interference from them.

If it is aliens trying to phone home it will be interesting!!

I have been hearing the same signal all day at S 9. Radio is IC-751,
  antenna is
tri band beam (frozen) towards the north. I hate winters. :-) By
  the way,
I am in SE New Brunswick.

Makes me wonder if the signal isn't from a satelite ? It's far to
  strong all the
time even when I don't hear anything else on 10 meters. Not even CW
  beacons.
