Hello to list.
Thanks again to all who followed up on my  selenium diode question.
Now I  have just had a really bad idea. For the purists on list, I am 
considering stuffing the old paper diode tubes with the new 1N4007 as to 
make the repair invisible. Similar to the idea of stuffing old capacitor 
tubes with new 'up to date caps', to retain the vintage look. If I get 
around to it, I will take some photos so you can see what it looks like.
