Hi, everyone.
I seek information about Heathkit signal tracers.
I am trying locate source of a problem in receiver section of a Swan
transceiver and think the use of a signal tracer would help me isolate the stage.
The Swan was working well, then suddenly stopped receiving. I wonder if a
signal tracer would be useful. So I've been reading about various Heathkit signal
tracers. I believe I would prefer the late model tansistorized Heathkit
signal tracer IT-5283 for its mobility using the batteries.
First, what has been your experience in using this particular signal tracer
as opposed to some of the earlier models? Am I on the right trail?
Second, what would be an equitable price for one?
And any experience with a signal tracer you can share. I'm not in a big
hurry, as the Swan usually sits on the shelf. But I would like to get it back
where I can use it occasionally. Tubes check OK.
Thanks for your time.
