Subject: [Heathkit] Model HX-10 Marauder Transmitter

Hi All,

A new member and so firstly a deservedly rich thank you to the moderator of
this forum.
Your time and service are greatly appreciated by all!

I purchased the Marauder in the mid 1970's and used it for several years
exclusively on 80
meter cw. It's nomimal 75 - 90 watt output drove a Gonset Model GSB-201
linear with four 811's.
A good combination with a total of 27 tubes and weight of 150 lbs - it never
slid off the desk!!

After "mothballing" since 1980 I am putting the Marauder back on the air,
this time to an Ameritron
AL-811H linear amp.
Rather than only cw, I will be using it on the SSB and AM modes.

So my question is to any members with operational knowledge of this Heathkit
model.

Off course all info, comments, history, etc. will be appreciated.

Thanks es 73's

Ralph - N1SK
