Fred,
You can go to this site and see the section on the "E" Board (Carrier
Generator) for the values needed.
http://www.qsl.net/k5bcq/sb104/sb104.html
It is also helpful if you have the SB-104A schematic and or assembly manual
handy (Pages 1-91 thru 1-103). This section covers the said Carrier
Generator/Xtal Filter Circuit board.
Don't forget to remove the two jumpers and install Diodes D678 and D681 in
there place.
If your board is like mine! Every spot for a component will be filled when
both filters are installed (except for one). Looking at the component side
of the board with the filters toward the left, there is one spot for a 3900
ohm resistor located just below L605. L605 is located between the left edge
of the board and the left most filter (SSB) about 3/4 up from the bottom of
the board. There is no mention of this part in the manual. Close
inspection of the circuit board leads me to believe that this part was never
installed. I am guessing that it was a change implemented at Heathkit
between the 104 and 104A models.
Good Luck and Hope this helps!
Jeramy
