You don't need the exact values but luckily many are available in the =
same value, just higher voltage. When figuring out replacement values, =
we need to remember that the electrolytic cap tolerance is huge. These =
new ones I'm looking at is +50%/-10%, so that 40 mfd cap value could be =
as high as 60 mfd and as low as 36 mfd. The old ones had a much worse =
tolerance I would guess. I assume that big mutisection cap is for power =
judging by the values, so all you need to do is get as close as =
possible. I'm looking at my handy dandy Mouser catalog. This is what I =
would recommend, and this is my opinion only:
OLD NEW
40 mfd @ 400 to 40 mfd @ 450v
80 mfd @ 350 to 100 mfd @ 350v or 80 mfd @450v
80 mfd @ 350 to 100 mfd @ 350v or 80 mfd @ 450V
40 mfd @ 350 to 60 mfd @ 350v or 40 mfd @ 450v
40 mfd @ 25 to 50 mfd @ 25v
I'm looking on Page 430 of catalog 617 Vishay Alunimum Electric Caps. I =
think any of these options would be fine. Look at the sizes and see =
which one fits better.
