Hello Damien and list,
I mounted my DX-100 plain model in the same rack as my 4-1000A class "B"
amplifier. It required that I use a 1 3/4 inch spacer panel with a plate
attached to the centerline of it, so I could put the top screws in the
DX-100. The weight is supported by a pair of adjustable support brackets
for the entire depth of the DX-100. These brackets are mounted to the
front and rear side rails of the cabinet, which is a 6 foot NOVA
computer
cabinet. The front rails and rear rails have 1/4 inch holes not threaded
and use "Blind fasteners" that clip on to these rails. There was just
enough space between the rail holes to align the holes of the DX-100 up
without drilling the rails again.
If your cabinet is like this note, you will have to mount the support
rails
first, then mark the DX-100 mounting holes with a pencil on the rails so
you
can pop the Blind Fasteners in the correct holes.
I also put a 1 3/4 spacer in under the DX-100 to allow for the amplifier
meter panel and 4 inch meters to NOT interfere with the removal of the
DX-100 for servicing.
It takes time and patience, but it can be done, and looks quite good
when
finished.
